Online Class | Day 2 | English (Nouns)

In today’s online class the topic in English subject was about nouns which describes the name of person, places, things, etc.

I haven’t heard of these things in ages. It reminds me of my elementary school in Pasay City, Southeastern College. My class adviser was Mrs. Montas, section Anonas. I was in the afternoon class. Enough of my history.

Many kids attended the online class today. Some kids are the quiet type, no reaction, just staring at the screen watching other kids. Some kids love making crazy facial expressions while watching themselves on the screen. Some kids love to observe, my kid specifically noticed and asked me, “Why is my classmate’s name iPad? And the principal’s name iPhone 2113? Why?”. He is referring to the name indicated on each participant’s video. I answered, “They forgot to correctly type in their name.”.

The teacher started the class with a prayer then followed by checking of attendance. The class ends after 1 hour.

Here’s what the teacher discussed. Types of noun.

1. Common noun

Person (mother, teacher, doctor, etc.)
Place (hospital, park, market, etc.)
Things (shampoo, toothpaste, soda, etc.)
Animals (dog, cat, fish, etc.)

2. Proper noun

Person (Mr. Pierre, Mrs. Rogan, Ms. Santos, etc.)
Place (Marikina City, Luneta Park, Savemore Market, etc.)
Things (Colgate Toothpaste, Pantene Shampoo, Coke, etc.)
Animals (Bones the Dog, Kitty the Cat, etc.)
