Online Class | Week 3 | Last Day of Math Class
There was no online class yesterday, and today, is the last day of math class. Their teacher is not around, so the class has a different teacher. It took a while before the class begins to allow extra time for other students to join. There were no new topics discussed, they only reviewed past topics. They were still given a home work though. The teacher asked the class to copy their homework shown on the screen. I asked my kid to copy the homework too which he did. He wrote it down on the white board. When the class is finished, everyone left Zoom. I took the whiteboard from him, there was nothing written. I asked him “Did you copy your homework?”. “Yes, I did, but I erased it.”.

Online Class | Week 2 | Day 5 | Possessive Pronouns
The class officially started with a lively song to pump up the kids.
Then the teacher reviewed the students with last session's topic, Pronoun. They also checked their homework which I forgot to attend to. I had to scramble a bit to open the word document and had my kid answer his homework, which he was able to finish quickly.
Their main topic today was about Possessive Pronouns.
My, Mine
His, Her,
Their, Theirs
Your, Yours
The students were taught how to properly use possessive pronouns and after which they had a short activity where they have to identify which possessive pronoun to use in each sentence.
Online classes will not be complete without technical errors. When the teacher's Zoom account experienced an issue and was dropped from the session, the students just simply carried on, it's like a new world has presented itself, suddenly it got loud and noisy when the students started talking all at the same time, making funny sounds and saying whatever comes to mind. When the teacher got back online, they continued with the activity and wrapped up.

Online Class | Week 2 | Day 4 | Math | Quiz
The class started a bit late today to wait for other students to get in Zoom. When everyone is finally on board the teacher begins leading the students in prayer and greeting one another ‘good morning!’. They followed with a math song to further awaken the kids to get their heads on the game, after which they reviewed past topics like addition and subtraction.
As were announced last Tuesday, they will going to have a quiz today, Thursday. The first part of the quiz was for students to identify if the statements shown on the screen is True or False. They wrote down their answers on a piece of paper.
The next part of the quiz were about counting numbers, addition and subtraction. The answers written on a sheet paper will be photographed and we will send the photo to their teacher.
Funny sound I heard from other participant’s audio today was a rooster. ‘Tiktilaok!’, the rooster sounded off several times.
Sharing of Printable Study Materials | Commons PH Facebook Group
In this time of crisis people will either extend help to others and some will take advantage of others. In the Commons PH Facebook Group many of the members are sharing love to other members by sharing with them golden resources of printable study materials. I ran through several posts where the links to the resource folders are made available, some links are already broken (not working), while some links are still working. Have saved a huge chunk of these materials to my own Google Drive before I lose access to them. These materials are not mine and they are NOT FOR SALE.
If you need study materials for your kid please click the link below. You may download the materials that you need. My simple request, PLEASE DO NOT SELL them. Instead, SHARE THEM.
If you haven't found the material you are looking for, you may join Commons PH Facebook Group and do a search for your self. Just be careful when downloading files as myself have encountered one file infected with virus. Make sure to scan the files with your anti-virus once downloaded to your computer.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone in Commons PH Facebook Group.

On the second activity, the students were given random words and they were to group them according to the type of pronoun they belong. On the third activity, the students were given specific words and they were to identify the correct pronoun for each word. On the fourth activity the students were asked to read a sentence and identify the pronouns in the sentence. A group picture concludes today’s class.

Online Class | Week 2 | Day 2 | Math | Subtraction
The main topic was about subtraction. Minuend, the bigger number, followed by the minus sign, then followed by subtrahend, the smaller number, followed by the equal sign and followed by the difference, the answer. Then, they went through an answering activity where objects were used to represent the numbers to be subtracted. They also went through the vertical and horizontal way of subtracting numbers.
When students were asked to show their answer to the camera, my kid noticed that the numbers were shown backwards, so he made an initiative to write the numbers down backwards so that when it is shown in the camera the numbers will look correct.
On Thursday, they will have a quiz. We got some reviewing to do later.
